What you'll do

As part of the Electrical team at Aule, you will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and integration of spacecraft electrical systems: from power generation and distribution to onboard electronics that enable autonomous and reliable operations in orbit.

Responsibilities

• Work on the electrical power system and sub-system level design trades and develop requirements
• Define and perform electrical power system verification testing and analysis
• Work with multidisciplinary teams of design, test, and production engineers to create new power electronics hardware
• Plan and run environmental tests (EMI/EMC, TVAC, Vibration)
• Manage and control key components such as solar panel arrays, power regulation and distribution, power processing, and power conditioning
• Integrate these systems into the spacecraft by working closely with the rest of the team

What we look for

Minimum requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience
• A passion for hardware development, including working in a fast-paced environment and hands-on design and development
• Experience working with, designing for, and testing high voltage components and systems
• Experience in designing, building, and testing analog and digital circuits

Preferred qualifications

• EMI/EMC experience
• Experience with designing for fault tolerance, especially to withstand a radiation environment
• Experience with photovoltaics
